Former provisional mayor of Chisinau, Ruslan Codreanu, will contact the ECHR because he was illegally removed from the race for Chisinau’s rule. He announces that he is working on the application itself and is convinced that he will win a lawsuit, and the money he will receive as compensation, he promises to donate to a nursery.
„Moldova will lose another file at the ECHR. As I said, we don’t stop. All election experts have admitted that I was illegally removed from the race. There are already international and civil society reports on this subject, and the International Election Monitoring Missions (Council of Europe, ENEMO) have found that my registration was denied due to minor formal errors and various interpretations of the law,” announced Codreanu.
He says that, along his 3 lawyers, they are working on the application that will be filed to the ECHR. Codreanu is convinced that the International Body will support him.
„The Republic of Moldova has lost and will lose files at the ECHR, but apparently nobody is disturbed by this – neither the authorities, nor the judges, nor the current alliance. The judicial system continues to be selective and subordinate to the political class. But everyone sleeps in peace – I was removed from the race, and their game continues. The fact that there is the European Court of Human Rights does not affect them, because they will not be the ones to pay, but the state budget will. Therefore, everything from our pockets goes to their salaries, and also to the damages for the lost files at the ECHR. I promise to make a donation to a nursery school with the received compensation”, Ruslan Codreanu said.
