Vasile Tofan, at the Kiev Economic Forum: "My message to Ukrainian entrepreneurs was simple: see Moldova as a partner for growth. We can also be a logistics hub for Ukrainian goods"

The Prime Minister of the Republic of Moldova, Vasile Tofan, urged Ukrainian entrepreneurs to invest in our country and proposed that Moldova become a logistics platform for the transport of Ukrainian goods to Romania and the European Union markets. The statements were made at the Kiev International Economic Forum, which the Head of the Government from Chisinau participated in together with the Prime Minister of Ukraine, Sergii Koretskyi.

Tofan conveyed to the Ukrainian business community that the Republic of Moldova can offer opportunities for the development of companies, the creation of jobs and the expansion of commercial activities to the European market.

"My message to Ukrainian entrepreneurs was simple: look at Moldova as a partner for growth. We want Ukrainian companies to invest here, create jobs and use Moldova as a platform to Romania and the EU markets," Tofan said.

According to Tofan, the Republic of Moldova can also contribute to diversifying transport routes for Ukrainian goods, given that the war has disrupted traditional supply routes and prompted the search for alternative solutions.

"We can also be a logistics hub for Ukrainian goods. The war has disrupted traditional routes and requires new solutions for supply chains. Moldova can offer alternative routes and connections to Europe - and that can mean even more investments and jobs at home," the Chief Executive also mentioned.

At the same time, the Prime Minister expressed the Republic of Moldova's gratitude to Ukraine, emphasizing the importance of its resistance to Russian aggression for regional security.

"Ukraine is not only defending its own freedom - it is also defending the security of Moldova and Europe," Tofan said.
