A new drone has illegally entered Moldova's airspace. The aircraft flew over several localities in the north of the country, amid Russian attacks on Ukraine.

The airspace of the Republic of Moldova was violated again by a drone, which entered from Ukraine and flew over several localities in the Soroca, Dondușeni and Edineț districts. The incident occurred this evening, at around 17:50, in the context of the massive attacks launched by the Russian Federation on Ukraine. According to the Ministry of Defense, the unmanned aerial vehicle remained in the national airspace for approximately 22 minutes, before leaving the country's territory through the northwest.

According to information presented by the Ministry of Defense, the drone entered the airspace of the Republic of Moldova from the direction of the village of Mihailovka, Vinnytsia region of Ukraine, heading towards the village of Sobari, Soroca district.

The device was later identified near the town of Dondușeni. At 18:03, it crossed the area of ​​the localities of Goleni, Gordinești and Burlănești, in the Edineț district.

At 18:12, the drone left the airspace of the Republic of Moldova, near the town of Viișoara, Edineț district.

The Ministry of Defense specifies that the Air Operations Center of the National Army continues to supervise the country's airspace, in coordination with the competent institutions and partners.
