European integration, a chance to strengthen the economy of the Republic of Moldova. Anca Dragu: More financial stability, investments and opportunities for entrepreneurs

The Republic of Moldova's rapprochement with the European Union must bring concrete benefits for citizens and the business environment, from protecting economies and increasing confidence in the financial system to more accessible services and better conditions for investments. The message was conveyed by the Governor of the National Bank of Moldova (BNM), Anca Dragu, at the Official Forum of Monetary and Financial Institutions, organized in Bulgaria. According to her, alignment with European standards is not only a process of institutional reform, but also a tool for consolidating economic stability and creating long-term development prospects, IPN reports.

The Governor of the National Bank of Moldova participated in the session "Europe's Next Chapter - Enlargement, Competitiveness and Resilience", which brought together central bank leaders to discuss economic and financial challenges in the region. Among the main topics addressed were monetary policy, inflation developments and economic growth prospects in Central and South-Eastern Europe.

"At the National Bank, we work to ensure that approximation to European standards translates into trust and stability. Behind every reform are people and families who make plans for the future, but also entrepreneurs who need predictability to invest and create jobs", Anca Dragu emphasized, according to a press release from the NBM.

Another important topic of the forum aimed at identifying solutions for attracting public and private capital in infrastructure, innovation and economic development projects.

Participants also discussed the digitalization of financial services and its role in modernizing economies and facilitating access to financial instruments for the population and companies.
